Position Duties: North Star is Alaska’s premier behavioral health provider that specialized in helping young people with life’s challenges. We are currently searching for Intake Coordinator to join our established team. The Intake Coordinator will be responsible for conducting phone, walk-in, and scheduled assessments as well as follow-ups and responding to inquiries and referrals. They are also responsible for providing emergency psychiatric consultation services to potential patients, other hospitals, referral sources, and community organizations.

Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology, or a Registered Nurse licensed in Alaska. Two years experience in mental health care in a hospital setting is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a solid knowledge of mental health and experience using the DSM. Assessment experience is essential and candidates must have excellent verbal, written and assessment skills and the ability to deal with stressful situations.
